
About the Institute
Regional Research Centre for Ayurveda was established by CCRAS in Jammu in May, 1979 and during reorganization programme of CCRAS in Nov.1999 the Regional Research Centre for Ayurveda was converted in to Regional Research Institute for Ayurveda.
RRI for Ayurveda remained functional up to 22nd December 2009 in a rental building at Rehari Chungi, Jammu and was shifted to its new building at Swarna Vihar Bantalab Jammu which was inaugurated on 23 of Dec.2009 by Honorable Union Health Minister. The institute was renamed as Ayurveda Regional Research Institute Jammu in December 2009 and now this institute has been renamed as "Regional Ayurveda Research Institute, Jammu (RARI, Jammu) (vide Council's Notification No. F. 12-39/2015-CCRAS/Estt./4788 Dated 22.12.2020) with the following mandate:-
Mandate
Lifestyle and non communicable disorders mainly focusing Clinical Research on Urinary Disorders and Gout.
Others activities
· Health care services through Out-Patient Department (OPD) and In-patient Department(IPD)
· Special facility for Panchkarma
· Special Clinics for Geriatric Health Care
· Facility of Ksharsutra
· Outreach activities such as Triable Health Care Research ,Swasthya Rakshan Programme etc.

Outreach activities:-
AYURVEDA MOBILE HEALTH CARE PROGRAMME UNDER SCHEDULED CASTES SUB PLAN (SCSP): Under this programme four SC population dominated villages are selected as per guidelines. The objective of the programme is to study the living condition, Geographical and environmental profile of SC people in the selected facilities for various diseases at their door step .The project is continuing in following villages.

SWASTHYA RAKSHAN PROGRAMME:Under this programme five colonies are selected as per guidelines; Health awareness campaign and providing the medical aids and distributing of; IEC material among people in local language. The project is continuing in following urban colonies :-

3.LAXMIPURAM CHINORE
